In the late 1970’s, Mr. Stern took up the cause of California homeowners by defending the right of Californians to assume existing low-interest loans.
He chaired Californians Against Unfair Lending Practices (CAULP) and wrote editorials published in the Opinion Section of the Los Angeles Times, and which re-appeared as a featured article in San Fernando Valley Magazine.
